Overallitwasn'tabadyearforsalesbutourperformancewasveryuneven.Wehadsomegoodperiodswhensaleswereexcellentandsomebadperiodswhensalesweremuchweaker.Iamgoingtoreportonouroverallsales.Thatis,Iwon'tgivesalesseparatelyforthedomesticmarkethereinChinaandourinternationalsalestooverseascountries.I'lljustreportontotalsales.

However,byApriloursaleshadstoppedfallingandsaleswereatthesamelevelinthesecondquarterasinthefirstquarter.SalesinJunewerethesameasthesalesforMarch—100computers.Thiswasnotaverygoodperformancebutatleastwehadstoppedthedeclineinsales.

Theninthethirdquartertherewasanabruptimprovement.SalesstartedtoimproveinJulyandbytheendofSeptemberhadreachedthesamelevelasJanuary—wesoldatotalof500computersinSeptember.

InthefourthquarterwewereabletomaintainsalesattheSeptemberlevel.Infacttherewasagradualincreaseoverthisperiod,reachingatotalof550computersinDecember.Asyoucanseebytheendoftheyearwehadbecomemuchmorecompetitiveagain.ThisisbecausewewereabletolowerthepriceofourcomputerswhereasJohnsonCompanyhadactuallyincreasedtheirs.

Soyoucanseethiswasadifficultyear.ButweendedwithstrongersalesthanweexpectedandIamveryoptimisticfornextyear.Iexpectsalestogoonincreasingbyandby.
